Karla Monzalvo became interested in cognitive sciences after three years as a pediatrician and as a supervising physician in children's public health.

She holds a doctorate and a master's degree in cognitive sciences from the Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris VI) and Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) respectively.

Her several scientific articles are related to school learning with particular emphasis on the study of reading acquisition and its different problems.

The dissemination and popularization of what scientific research contributes to lifelong learning are its main objectives today.

From this point of view, she works as a consultant, trainer, facilitator, lecturer, and advisor, proposing tailor-made strategies to families of children with different types of learning problems.
