José Luis Contreras
Lawyer/consultant and Doctor in Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He also holds a Master in Comparative Law from the California Western School of Law and a Master in Public International Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Specialization in International Criminal Law from the UNED. Among other areas, he is an expert in public international law, such as international criminal law, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law.
In almost 20 years of professional experience, he has worked as a legal advisor in both Mexican and international companies. Also, he has been a full-time Professor at his alma mater, the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (Faculty of Law), teaching various subjects, as well as directing masters and specialty theses within the Postgraduate Department.
He currently collaborates with GVH-Consultores Legales (Baja California) as a specialist in the area of business and human rights and is dedicated to legal research. He lives in Toulouse, France. Extracurricular, he is a coach endorsed by the French Football Federation (FFF) of a children's team (a category under 8-under 9) in the region.
