Teresa Calixto is a lawyer and consultant specialising in intellectual property and environmental law.
She is Head of Communications at the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) of the University of Strasbourg (France).
Her doctoral thesis analyses the role of patents in the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies in the context of open innovation.
Her areas of interest include the protection of intellectual property rights, technology transfer, patent pools, licensing, open and collaborative innovation, and intellectual property rights enforcement issues.
Her knowledge, experience and professional performance are supported by a Master's degree in European and international intellectual property law from CEIPI, as well as the Advanced Course in Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Licensing of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Institut national de la propriété Industrielle (INPI-France).
She also holds an Interdisciplinary Master's Degree in Environment: Human and Socio-Economic Dimensions and a Master's Degree in Environmental Law, both from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).
She holds a law degree from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). She has an excellent command of English and French.
Teresa has participated as a speaker at various national and international forums. She has collaborated in the design, planning, development and implementation of different training and research projects at European and international level.
